Easy Microwave Cake

 
     
 

Description

A quick recipe when you need a sweet kick quickly. From Camille Castledine, East of Scotland

Ingredients

  • 50g sugar
  • 50g butter or margarine
  • 50g slef raising flour
  • 1 large egg
  • flavourig of your choice
 
 

Method

Weigh the egg without the shell and use that weight for all the ingredients For example if egg weighs 50g then use 50g for each ingredient
Cream the marg and sugar in a microwave safe bowl Use an electric whisk for speed
Add the egg with a tablespoon of the flour and then add the rest of the flour

Flavouring - anything goes Add lemon zest, mashed banana, sultanas or mixed spice. For a chocolate substitude 1 tablespoon of the flour for 1 tablespoon of cocoa and add small chunks of chocolate. The flavour list is endless. Add your flavour to the mixture

Once you have added your flavour put in the microwave for two minutes. Check and if soggy cook for another 30 seconds until done
