Ednam Wine Club Formed in the year 2000 from an idea by Jeff Kelly, then mine host at Edenwater House, the old Manse opposite the Church in Ednam, which at the time was run as a boutique bed and breakfast, with fine food and wines supplied by Jeff and cooked by his wife Jackie. We agreed from the start to meet every third Tuesday of each month, and have been doing so ever since. We are now in our 25th year and are still finding new wines to savour. It´s an informal club with some formal elements to it, but the main objective of the club is to enjoy wines that we wouldn´t come across in our normal daily lives, to push our taste boundaries, and to have fun in the process. We have occasional guest speakers, and some of our members have been invited to present at other similar clubs and events in the area. We look forward to each annual vintage and the next 25 years of tastings. N.B. Edenwater House is now back in private hands. |
